Legal Question in DUI Law in South Carolina
underage possession
I was at a college football game tailgating and was ticketed by the police for ''possession of beer by person under 21''. I have not been in any trouble before this offense, and I am very worried. My main goal is to clear this from my record, and I have heard of a program called Pre-Trial Intervention. Is this for me? How can I get in?

Re: underage possession
As an attorney, I have obtained PTI (Pretrial Intervention) hundreds of times for the right client. Basically, if the person has never been arrested and its a misdemeanor (such as your charge) then I can usually able convince the solititor or court for the program. As far as how you can get it, you should have an attorney in case anything goes wrong you'll be protected. As far as doing it yourself, I would simply ask for it. Good luck.
