Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina
I have a 7 year old son with my ex boyfriend. I have custody and I am now engaged. What will happen if my ex can prove that my future husband has been staying over night with us.

If your Order says no overnight boyfriends, then he could seek to have you held in contempt of court or he could use that as a basis to seek a change of custody. If the Order doesn't prohibit it, then he could still seek to use it to change custody, but you wouldn't run the risk of being held in contempt.
These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
