Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Amend Divorce Decree

There is a date that is incorrect on

my divorce decree and I was told that

I need to file an Amendment Order to

correct it. I was told that I can file it

on my own, but those at the

courthouse cannot provide me with

the Amendment form or help me in

any way. Where could I get a copy of

a generic Amendment Order?

Re: Amend Divorce Decree

There is no such thing as an generic "Amended Order." These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case. If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
