Birth Certificate and social security

hello well my dad and Mom are separating well when the cops was at are house he told us to get cloths only well my dad has my Birth Certificate and social security number i have called him and asked him for them but he will not send them i live in pa so i cant go to his house and ask him in person even if i did he would probably not do it so i really need these records for a job IM 19 years old what could i do to get them from him thank you

You could try to bring an action in Family Court or possibly even Magistrate Court to have him be required to return those items to you, but there is a much simpler, quicker, less expensive option.

You should simply obtain duplicate / replacement copies of the birth certificate and social security card.

The state that issued the birth certificate will have to provide you with the replacement. In South Carolina, that state agency is SC Dept. of Health & Environmental Services, Division of Vital Records (www.scdhec.net/vr/).

Generally, any social security office can provide you with a replacement card. This option should address your needs efficiently and not require any interaction from your father.
