Child Custody
me and my husband of 1 yr has temp. custody of his son going on 14 and i have 2 kids a 16 yr and 17 yr old , but my question is when we go to court for perm, custody and him beening 13 yrs old how much is ti going to matter what he whats to do. because my husband thinks that if he punishes him that when we go to court that if he is mad at him then we will lose custody of him, how can i make him understand that him letting him get away with everything that he his making it look bad on him because he is acting out in school and not having any type of parenting so he keep doing the same thing over and over. but it's the same way at home he can talk to me anyway and that fine to with his dad because let not upset his son. be i needs some kind of help because i am ready to walk away form my marriage, i can not take much more. please help save my family.......

Re: Child Custody
The Court will consider the child's preference, but also the reasons for the child's preference. Custody cases are very complex and are rarely based on any one thing (except abuse / neglect).
These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
