Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Child Custody

We live in SC and my granddaughter went to visit her father in Louisiana. He bought her a round trip plane ticket and she is suppose to return tomorrow Aug.8.

The child's parents are not married and my daughter has raised her from brith to the present. She is 12 years old.

My daughter called my granddaughter every night. For the past 4 nights the child's father has not allowed her to talk to her mother. He called me and said he might keep her. What can we do if he does not send her home?

Thank you

Re: Child Custody

If that happens, you should have your daughter seek the advice of an experienced family law attorney as soon as possible to discuss her options.

If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
