Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

child custody

i have sole custody of my 10 year old son. My ex husband wants him to stay with him next school year and my son wants to stay. If i let him will i have to go back to court to retain custody and can i make stipulations on his stay with his father?

The answer to your question depends on ALL the facts in your case -- more than the few that you provided. The "short" answer is that if you let the child go live with the father, you could end up losing custody or at least having trouble getting the child back later.
