child emancipation in south carolina

Is it possibe for a 17 year old child to get emancipted from his costodial parent in south carolina, even thought there is no code on emancipation? If so, how does one go about performing this action and what are the requirements?

If you child wishes to be independant, is out of school, living apart from his family, has a full time job, and has finished his high school education then he is a good candidate to be recognized as emancipated.

However, if he is living at home, costing you money, eating your food, and depending upon you for his spending money, driving your car and skipping school, then then he is a good candidate to be told to leave home.

I don't really know enough about the circumstances to give you any advice. Go see a family lawyer.
