Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Child laws

My soon to be brother in law has a 6 year old child. He called us and told us he can not take care of her for a while. He asked if we would take care of her. Whar kind of papers do we need to get before we go to Ohio and get her? We have to put her in school she is not in school yet!! So we want this don ASAP!! Thank you so much for your help and time! --name removed--

You should contact an attorney in Ohio to see what the legal requirements are there, as the child is a resident of that state.
