Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Child support

I live in SC. My ex-husband lives in TN. If we have a child that is disabled and still enrolled in school @ 19 is he still required to pay support for her?

Re: Child support

SC can require child support past the age of 18 for a disabled child, if it has jurisdiction. You do not say which state issued the last child support order, so that issue is not clear.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
