Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Child support medical division

The non custodial parent is current on child support, but has never paid one dime on his portion of the medical. I live in Tennessee with the child. How do i get him to pay his part? It has been 3 years and nothing on the medical.

Re: Child support medical division

If there is an Order that specifies what amount or percentage of healthcare expenses he is required to pay and he is not paying his part, you can (and should) bring an action seeking to have him held in contempt of court for his failure to abide by the Order.

If there is not an Order addressing the medical expense issue, you should consider asking the Court to address that issue to resolve the current situation and to avoid any problems in the future.
