Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina
Child support/Alimony
What steps must I take to file a complaint about consistently late child support payments? Each week the support payments are due on friday. I will generally get the check the following Tuesday or even as late as the next Friday. The ex spouse actually deducted gas money one week because he felt that I had not properly informed him of an after school activity.

Re: Child support/Alimony
If you believe that your ex-spouse is not paying the child support payments in accordance with the Court Order, you can file a contempt action against him. The Court could then require that all future payments be made by wage withholding / payroll deduction.
These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
