Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Child visitation

My husbands ex has moved four hours away and is refusing to meet us halfway every other weekend. She agreed to meet us halfway once but demanded gas money. We just want to be fair! What should we do?

Re: Child visitation

Typically, the Court will put more of the transportation burden on the party who moves away. If she will not cooperate and/or you cannot reach an agreement on how to resolve this, then your husband might have to consider going back to Court to get it resolved.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case. If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
