Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina
Clarificatin on Judge Brown's Standard Visitation
My husband and I were awarded emergency custody of my 12 year old stepson back in April. The judge said that we would be adhering to the visitation guidelines as outlined in Judge Browns Visitation until the final hearing. I need some clarification on section ''D'' Birthday Visitation. The only thing is says about the birthday of a sibling is that ''All the children shall be together on any of their brother's/sister's birthdays. My Stepsons half sister is having her birthday on Saturday (which is our weekend). The order does not specify how long or from what times she is to have my stepson. He does not want to go and is freaking out ( he was removed from the home for a reason). Could you please shed some light on this?

Without knowing more information about the specific facts of your particular case, it is not possible to answer your question. Also, I presume that your husband has an attorney, and this question would be better directed to him/her.
These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
