Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

contempt of court

If during a child custody case a person is ordered not to allow the child to be in contact with a friend of the parent with custody at a hearing, then mounth later after the final papers are filed nothing about this subject is mentioned in the paperwork, would the parent still be in contempt of court if the child was allowed to see the other person?

Re: contempt of court

If a Temporary Order prohibits certain conduct but the Final Order does not, then that prohibition is most likely lifted.

Without viewing the Orders in question, it is impossible to say for sure, but based on the facts you provided, it does not sound like the person will be held in contempt.
