Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina
Out of Control Stepmother
Ex remarried, and that women continues to harass me through email, texts, and verbal attacks me in front of minor. I have block emails, change phone numbers, and have witnesses to prove the attacks. In SC, what can I do to have actions stop. A latest example would be an email written to place me on notice not to call, belittling my decaesed mother for her mental illness, and trying to make it look like I am chasing me ex. The whole email is manpulative lives. The email was sent to both business and personal accounts which was block, then they gave my child the email to give to me. I rip it up in front of them and left at the pick-up site. Do I have to just take their abuse? I have primary custody of the sign, and what they are mad about is paying th child support.

Re: Out of Control Stepmother
If you do not have a Restraining Order, you certainly need one. If you do have one, then you can (and should) pursue a contempt action against the other party to force this behavior to stop.
If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
