Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

custody

My ex husband has been using drugs, gone to rehab recently, and wants my son to have supervised visitation with he and his wife. If I fight this, according to my attorney, then my son will be appointed a Gaurdian Ad Litem. I wonder if I should fight this, because his wife was supposed to be doing supervised visitations prior to this due to drugs. Help

Re: custody

The question of whether to fight it or not depends on what you believe to be in your child's best interest. If you do not think that the supervised visitation is appropriate, or if you do not believe that it will be supervised, then it sounds like you should let the Court know of your concerns.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
