What is pendent lite and how will it help my daughter?

"Pendente Lite" is Latin for "temporary." Most contested cases have a temporary hearing, which simply determines how the issues will be addressed while the case is pending. For instance, which party will have temporary custody of a child between that time and the final hearing.
