I need to know how to transfer a case to another state? Both parents now live in the state of florida but the case was origanally filed in South Carolina.

Re: Custody

Typically, a case isn't "transferred" from one state to another. If the case is pending in SC, it can be dismissed and refiled in FL. If a prior case was in SC, a new case can be filed in FL.

If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
