Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina
Custody for 16 year girl
I have full custody of my 16 year old niece and we live in South Carolina. She wants to go live with her Father in Texas (my brother). I am ok with this, but need to know what my legal responsibilites will be if she no longer resides with me.

Re: Custody for 16 year girl
The best / safest way to handle this is to have it done through the Court, to transfer custody to the father. That way, you have the maximum protection and don't have to worry about all of the "what if's" that can pop up if you do it any other way.
These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
