Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

My dauther has custody of my grandchild. The new step-mom is intrusive and over steps and undermines my daughter. This new step-mom dated my dauther's husband while they were still married. She is doing everything to confuse this 6 year old even trying to come to have lunch with him at school and not allowing father to attend the exchanges. This woman is religious and believes she and her husband are "one" and if she kisses my grandson and my daughter kisses him...she explains to my grandson that it is the same as their kissing each other. HELP!

If your daughter objects to the new wife's actions, then she needs to discuss what options she has available to try to counteract or stop them. However, she cannot micromanage his household on general items any more than he can do so to her.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
