Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina
Defaults on spousal support ?
What can be done when an ex-spouse defaults on spousal support? There is another 2 and 1/2 years remaining on the DRO, and he has moved out of state to South Carolina.

I assume there is a court order. If so, you can take her back to court to have it enforced. I don't know what a DRO is.

I assume you are from a State other than South Carolina. Out of State custodial parents can seek help in collecting from deadbeat dads in South Carolina through their Department of Child Support Enforcement/Department of Social Services/local court with Family Law jurisdiction. Federal & State Legislation is in place to assist you. Contact your Local Family Court for more information. I am unfamiliar with any law other than that of South Carolina. In South Carolina, unpaid child support is treated as a serious matter.
