Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

The Dept. of Social Services placed two childern in my home back in Jan. because of educational neglect.They are still here almost 10 months later.I lost my job 2 months ago and the funds are getting low.Does DSS have a responibitly to help with the support of thes kids.I don't want them taken just don't know what to do.The case worker is no help( never has an answer has to check on it) The farthers are ordered to pay support, but they have never been in there lives.

D.S.S. is not required to pay child support, but the parents certainly can (and should) be required to do so. If the caseworker is not helpful, then you should contact his/her supervisor to discuss these issues and get a definite answer.
