Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

How difficult would it be to sue for full custody of a grandchild that is under shared custody with her grandmother,(who has raised her since she was 2 wks old), and the childs father, who is a dead beat dad, no job, bi-polar, subject to violent, raging explosions, cursing, screaming like a maniac, and who cannot provide the basic essentials, like food, but has to rely on family members for help all the time?

It is difficult to get custody from a biological parent, but it can be done under certain circumstances. Without knowing all of the relevant factors about all of the parties involved, it's not possible to estimate what the likelihood of success.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
