Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

divorce based on adultery

It's 11 days and my lawyer just sprung on me that even though my soon to be ex agrees to say he commited adultery that I need to have a witness that has seen him and his paramour. My grandmother has, but it was not a ''go in the house over night'' type of situation. He brought his paramour to mediation. He has lived up the street from me with her, and no neighbors will come foward. Will my parents be able to be witnesses to his adultery in court?

Re: divorce based on adultery

Your parents can be witnesses, but they are obviously biased toward you. The neighbors can be subpoenaed to the hearing if necessary.

You should discuss these issues and options with your attorney. If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
