Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

The Divorce never happens.

I filed for divorce October 2005, and nothing happens, my lawyer does nothing. What should I do? She has the money . She has been paid, but she does not do her job. Nothing happens.

Re: The Divorce never happens.

If your lawyer is not doing her job, you should first contact her office to find out what is / isn't happening in your case. If you are not satisfied with the responses you receive, you can contact the SC Bar to initiate either a fee dispute or file a grievance. The Bar considers such allegations seriously and will help get to the bottom of things.

If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
