Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina
Help
Looking at divorce, but need legal help. We have been married for 4 years, have 3 1/2 year old twins. I live in SC and my husband is been living in Nashville, TN due to his job that he got in May of 08. Our debt is super high. We are trying to sell our house since June 08, but no luck as of yet. Have also a condo in CA and can't refinance it due to drop in value. I can't afford a lawyer and need help to find out what I can expect regarding child support and custody. Please help me.

Re: Help
If you cannot afford an attorney, then your options are obviously very limited. You can attempt to find help from a "legal aid" type organization or you can attempt to find someone to take your case on a pro bono basis. However, cases involving child custody tend to be very complicated and expensive, so you should keep that in mind.
These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
