Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

divorce

How do I get him to move out? He makes enough money to relocate and I don't. We have no children together. I just want him out of the home.

Re: divorce

The Court will typically not force someone to move out of his/her home without good cause. If he has committed adultery, abused alcohol/drugs, or been physically abusive, then the Court will probably require him to leave. If none of those apply, then you might be in a situation where you have to leave, file an action with the Court, and then try to get back into the home if he is required to move out.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case. If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
