Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Dss case

How can i file a motion in a family court case. I do not have an attorney and my kids are with their grandparents and the judge said when we feel that the kids are ready to be home we can file a motion. I just need to know how to file a motion with the same judge.

Re: Dss case

While you "can" attempt to represent yourself in Family Court, it is certainly NOT advisable to do so. In order to effectively represent yourself, you need to know the procedural rules, the substantive law, and the practical aspects of how to protect your interests.

Family issues are complex, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.

If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
