dss

my son had his daughter (10 months) taken away and placed in our care as foster parents. child returned in may. father arrested for disorderly conduct. is now physically abusing mother of baby

drinking...dss does not seem to concerned to remove child

If DSS will not do anything, then you can certainly bring an action to try to get custody of the child. However, it is of the utmost importance that you have good, solid proof of the allegations that you are making.
