to establish paternity
i,m a concern grandparent who is trying to establish paternity to help my son who has twins by a woman in another state she refused to let my son be a part of these childrens life we live in florence south carolina and the woman lives in albany georgia my question is how will my son establish paternity without seeing his kids to get tested and with no cooperation from this woman she send pictures of the kids 2 months after they were born a boy and a girl will i have to get a attorney to make sure that my son can establish paternity because she will not cooperate she was suppose to bring the kids to see us ,but change her mind after being threaten by her new boyfriend she told my son that these children[twins]are his their is a great possibility that the children are my son kids because twins run in my family on my husband side which is his biological father i have twins also his brother and sister are twins my husband mother had 3 sets of twins[my mother-in-law] ilove children very much and i want to be part of my grand kids life and my son do to please tell us how to go by establishing paternity when the mother of the twins won,t let him see his kids maybe i do need a lawyerkids in todays world need all the love given

If the mother won't voluntarily agree to a paternity test, then your son will need to file an action with the Court to require that such a test be done. He will fare much better if he hires an attorney to assist him with this process. If the mother and children have lived in Georgia for some time, he will need to file there and not in SC.
