Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina
My exhusband who has custudy of my children will not allow them to be around my husband who is on the sex offender registry. I have legal rights to see them acording to the divorce papers. What can I do legaly to have my husband around my children?

If he denies your court-ordered visitation, then you can take him in for contempt. However, if the Court finds that the child shouldn't be around a registered sex offender, they may not impose any punishment on him. In other words, you will probably be going to court over this issue, and your husband's criminal activities will not help your case at all.
These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
