Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

My ex-husband has Judge Brown's standard visitation, and I have full custody. Our divorce has been finialized for over one year. He is asking me to reduce his child support. I have refused. He now wants a copy of our child's social security number. I do not feel comfortable giving this information to him. Do I have to give him the social security number.

If the Order doesn't require you to provide that to him, then you don't "have" to do so. Of course, that information is easy enough for him to obtain elsewhere with very little effort -- medical records, tax returns, etc.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.

If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
