Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

My soon to be ex-husband is trying to get a VA loan/refinance, but said that the VA will only put the loan in his name, he told me that my name will still be on the deed. Is this a good thing or bad?

Without knowing more information, it's hard to answer this question. For instance, if you are not yet divorce and if he is going to receive the house, then the Deed also needs to be just in his name. However, the process of changing the Deed from both names to his name only is relatively fast and inexpensive.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
