Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Family Law

What evidence do I need to prove that my husband had several affairs before I left him? I left him October 23, 2006. Is it legal for him to continue his affairs before we get divorced?. What is Alienation Of Affection? Does it apply to the state of South Carolina?

Re: Family Law

I have written an article which explains what must be proven to obtain a divorce in SC on the ground of adultery. You can read this article by pasting the following address into your web browser:

South Carolina did away with "alienation of affection" as a civil cause of action several years ago, so that is not an option to you.

If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
