Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

What do I need to do to file for partial child custody. I am the father. We live in SC. I can't find forms on the matter. I was told I create the papers I need. I can't afford a lawyer but do not qualify for help.

Bringing an action yourself in Family Court is generally not a good idea, particularly when dealing with an issue as complicated and important as child custody. For instance, there is nothing in SC called "partial custody", and the Court will not grant "joint custody" unless both parents agree. You should make the necessary arrangements to hire an attorney to handle this case for you and to give you a legitimate chance of success.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case. If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
