payment was due jan 31,2008 and
hasn't paid me anything! I get the
letter from courtto tell me when court
is! I go to the court on that day and
judge says he can't hear my case cuz I
didn't have him served!! Didn't know I
was soppose to thought the court did
that? What are the steps to filing this
rule to show cause if I'm doing this by
my self? Cause looks like I got to

Re: Filing rule to show cause
The person filing the Rule to Show Cause is the one required to serve it on the opposing party. The Court is not responsible for serving the papers, nor are they required to explain the process to you. If you choose to represent yourself, you do so at your own peril, and you would be much better served having an attorney handle this for you.
These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case. If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
