gift to minor chile

dad bought a used car for 16th birthday, he pays taxes and insurance. paid cash for car. due to extreme change of circumstances, thinking about going back to court for child support increase, which oridinal order allows me to do, Dad threatened to take back vehicle and sell it because of the threat of child support increase. any suggestions. original order gave him credit for one child in home, no longer has that child at home and making substantial more income.

If the car is still titled in the father's name, then he can do what he wants with the vehicle.
