Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

My House

My home is in my name. However, I have been living with a woman for 4 years. We are about to seperate and I would like her to leave; however, she won't and feels she has some ownership to the home. Does she? How do I make her leave?

Re: My House

If you are not common law married, then she most likely has no claim to any interest in your home. If you are common law married, then she may have an interest in the equity that has accrued during the time that you were married.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
