My husband and I are currently seperated and my mother wants temporary custody of my 4 year old son. Is this a good idea?

Giving custody to a third-party is generally not a good idea, as you could end up fighting over this child with both your husband and your mother. There are many factors that go into deciding what to do with custody though, and they are difficult to address via email.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
