ex joined the military to prolong divorce

i have been separted since jan 07 and in may my ex who does not want the divorce and does not want to get an attorney was told that if he joined the military it would prolong our divorce in hopes of me changing my mind. after nov he will be finished with basic and AIT, our court date will be in jan what happends if he gets sent our of state or over seas? does he get his wish and will i have to wait until he comes back to sc to finish my divorce?

His military service will not necessarily prolong the process. Since you apparently already have an attorney, this is an issue that you should discuss with him/her.
