kids visiting parent in prison

when someone is in prison and they have a child they want to visit them ,but the other parent is not willing to take the child to visit,and will not let anyone esle take them,is their law or something that came be done to allow a child to get to see the parent in prison.or does the parent in prison have no rights to see the child while in prison.

The prisoner's best option is to bring an action to have the Family Court address this issue.

Some judges will take the position that taking a child to a prison is not in the child's best interest, but others may disagree.

I believe that the type of prison (minimum vs. maximum security), location, and crime committed will also come into play.
