Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Leaving state with child

I just recently moved out of state with my child. Me and his father have never been to court and we were never married. He says he is going to try to make it where i have to move back to Tn. My Fiance whom i plan on marrying with in the next few days had to move here for a job. Is there any way i would have to move back and what do i need to do to keep this from happening.

Re: Leaving state with child

The Court can make the child return to SC if it finds that is in the child's best interest. That decision is based on the specific facts and circumstances of your case, and it can literally vary from case to case.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
