After a legal separation, is will it be held against you if you date another person?

Not necessarily. A properly executed separation agreement will state that the parties will not divorce each other on one of the fault grounds, and will not come back agaisnt each other for personal relationships. However, there are other considerations that the court could look at in such situations, such as whether one party is exposing childred to these type relationships, whether one of the parties are leaving a child with a babysitter while going out to date, etc.

I would suggest you sit down with a lawyer and let him/her learn more about your specific situation and then advise you.
