Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina
legal seperation, what are the boundries as far as relationships?
My estrainged wife and i have been seperated for a little over 3 months and we have only been married for 1year and 8 months. during this time she has had a history of marijuana abuse causing me to go negative in my account while i was deployed and didnt pay the appropriate bills and was fired from a job for drug abuse, i stuck beside her unfortunatley hoping things would get better. after she quit another job without one lined up, i said that was IT! she went out and bought a 2007 tahoe with 22'' wheels and didnt even have a place to sleep yet. i am military and she was still living with me at the time so i could not be associated with that truck so i told her to do what she has to do and leave at she got with a friend. so pretty much there is no chance ev er with us again, now that you got a quick history, i got a lawyer and we are getting legal seperation paper work ready before i deploy again. i became interested in a female who contacted me through a friend, am i able to legally have contact with her and what would be my limits safely so as not to give her any leverage at all? oh and we have no kids thank god!

If you already have an attorney, you should discuss these issues with him/her. Your attorney should know all the facts of your particular case, and therefore he/she will be in the best position to give you advice on this issue.
