how long do you hae to be sperated before you can file for legal seperation?

In SC, there is no waiting period to file for a legal separation. You can file as soon as one of you moves out.

You need to talk to a SC attorney if you file in that state.

In Texas, you must be a resident of TX for 6 months and live in the same county for 90 days. Texas does NOT have legal separation. You must file for divorce. A divorce MUST be on file a minimum of 61 days in order to get divorced.
