If a couple has not lived together conjugally for 15 years, but have shared an address and they both wish to be divorced, how long do that have to wait?

Re: length of separation for divorce

Under SC law in order to file for a divorce on the basis of a one-year separation you and your spouse must have lived separate and apart without cohabitation for at least one year. So if by sharing an address you mean still living in the same home then you can't file for a divorce until 1 year from the date you actually lived separate and apart. Please talk with an attorney in your area to discuss this matter further.
