Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

I live in SC and had to take my ex-wife back to court and file a temporary restraining order for harassment and derogatory comments. How long can a temporary order stay in effect before additional money has to be spent in attorney fees to transfer from temporary to permanent?

Temporary Orders only remain in effect while the case is pending. A final hearing must be requested within a set period of time, or the case (and Temp. Order) will be dismissed.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
