Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Long Divorce

My divorce is going on 3 years. My ex is on attorney number 3 while my attorney fees soar. How long can this drag out? We have a pre-trial conf. set in Sept., can we ask the judge to hear the case at that time?

Re: Long Divorce

Of course, the purpose of the Pre-Trial Conference is to help move the case toward trial and to schedule a trial if the case is ready for trial. Your attorney should convey your concerns about the delay, and hopefully the Judge will go ahead and give you a trial date.

If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
