Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Losing our kids,need help fast!

i have had my sisters child since she was born in 2005 and my mother had had another of her children since 2002. we have court ordered temporary custofy of those two and also of her other 2 kids. she is now trying to take them all back. we are willing to give back her 4 year old and her 7 year old when the state decides she is able to properly take care of them but the five year old who my mother has raised and the 18 month old who i have had since birth,we are not so willing to give up since we are the only mothers they have ever known. i need to know what my rights are and what i can do to make sure that we keep the two children who we consider our own. please help if you can.

You can argue that you have acted as a "psychological parent" to the child and use that along with your existing custody now to argue that it is in the child's best interest to stay with you.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
